– Unlimited calls, texts, and data, including unlimited use of internet, YouTube, and KakaoTalk.
– Phone must be country unlocked to use with a Korean SIM card.
– Verizon automatically unlocks after 3 months, while T-Mobile and AT&T require 1 month and can be unlocked via their website chat, visiting the store, or by phone call.
– Unlocking is different from country unlock and usually requires full payment of the device.
– The SIM card will be active in South Korea after going through the immigration (during SK Telecom store working hours).
– Notify us via KakaoTalk after immigration clearance.
– Number is retained for 3 months after expiration for number retention, but no calls are allowed to prevent personal information exposure risk.
– How to check the number after activation: Android – Settings -> About Phone, iPhone – Phone app -> Contacts -> My Card.
– Charging: A text will be sent 3 days before expiration, contact Sierra Travel Agency via KakaoTalk for recharge.
– If you are receiving SIM card by mail: Fill out and submit the application via email, receive the application and passport photo, SIM card delivery (shipping fee self-paid), or pick up at LAX Airport.
– Payment: Credit card, PayPal, etc.
– Rates at Incheon Airport: Rental phone 4,900 won/day + call charges (66 won/minute), SIM chip: 500 minutes with 50,000 won recharge.
– Regarding the use of a US phone number in Korea: If the US SIM card is removed, the US phone number cannot be used during the use of the Korean number. However, KakaoTalk and contacts remain the same.
– SIM card return is not necessary, but if you would like to dispose it, please bend and discard.
– Application process: Fill out application form + passport, send photo via KakaoTalk or email.
